Workshop Painting African Wildlife – Sunday 19th July 2015

Painting Africa’s beautiful Wildlife. Join me in the studio for an informed day on the many aspects of painting some of Africa’s renowned and endangered wildlife species. Good for oil or Acrylic.
Theday will start at 10.00 am, so arrive around 9.50 am. It will end around 4.00pm to 4.30pm. A hot lunch will be provided unless you request special dietary needs, along with refreshments during the day. Boards and table easels are provided for use. You will need your painting equipment and paints. You are welcome to bring your own canvasses x 2 @ 12″ x 16″. I will also be offering Canvas paper to work upon.
I shall explain some of the many ideas needed to be considered when painting a wild animal from Africa. Composition, and narrative, colour and some specific aspects. You will practice directly some of these with me.

After a short break I shall paint an image in oil for you, showing how I tackle this great subject.

After a hot lunch we will all work together, for the remainder of the day and all of the following day. We will complete a painting in a follow my lead manner. During this time I shall help and assist you in the completion of your work. I will also impart more tips for you and helping you along the way.
